Germania Insurance Amphitheater
Within the center of Austin's Formula One race track, Circuit of the Americas, stand's a 251-foot observation tower that houses a world-class, open-air amphitheater, Germania Insurance Amphitheater (formerly Austin360 Amphitheater). Talks of including an amphitheater on the 1,300-acre sports and entertainment complex began during the circuit's construction in April of 2012 as the venue was preparing for that year's Formula One event, the US Grand Prix. As the circuit itself became the primary focus due to a strict F1 deadline the Germania Insurance Amphitheater took a backseat and did not open until April of 2013.
Revered to many as the "Live Music Capital of the World ", Austin, Texas made for the perfect location of this one of a kind venue. With room for up to 14,000 guests, 6,700 of which are reserved seats, and a massive lawn the Germania Insurance Amphitheater is an incredible spot to catch some of the biggest stars underneath the brightest stars.
Along with featuring some of the best music acts around the Germania Insurance Amphitheater and surrounding Grand Plaza grounds will host everything from multi-day music festivals to comedians and more. With intentions to build on the Austin music culture, the amphitheater will only bring more talent to the Central Texas region.
