2020 US Grand Prix Tickets

The 2020 US Grand Prix weekend at Circuit of the Americas is Friday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 25th. The three day event includes the best F1 racers competing in the US Grand Prix. F1 weekend in Austin also includes a couple of great concerts and plenty of amazung racing action at COTA. The track located minutes from downtown Austin is the host venue for all activities.

Fans can purchase a 3-day USGP ticket which provides access to all three days of racing and the concerts, or can purchase an individual day pass. Tickets purchased for Friday and Saturday will also grant access to the concert held that evening. The concerts at COTA have been general admission shows, that are setup on the open field in the middle of the race track. There is an option to purchase VIP seating for the concerts, which is closer to the stage, for those fans who wish to upgrade.

2020 US Grand Prix Parking

Many fans who attend the US Grand Prix at COTA, also opt to purchase a parking pass. The track is located a few minutes outside of Austin, so many fans choose to drive and park. A pre-purchased parking pass will provide access to one of the official COTA parking lots that are a closer walk to the track. More info is available on our COTA parking pass page.

COTA Venue Guide

COTA is the only race track in the United States built specifically for Formula 1 and has a capacity of around 120,000 fans for each day of the race. There are approximately 20 turns on the racetrack at COTA.

Main Grandstand

  • Considered by many fans to be the best seats at the track. Main Grandstand can provide a nice view of the start/finish lines and the pits.
  • The starting line is at Section 110. The finish line is at Section 103.
  • From trackside to Loge, Mezzanine and Club Levels the Main Grandstand offers premium seating.
  • All levels are covered, except Loge seating, but some covered sections can get sun, depending on time of day. These are the premium seats, that include seat backs with cup holders.

Turn No. 1 Grandstand

  • Turn 1 is a popular spot often a spot on the track where passing may occur.
  • There are 10 sections (6,000 seats) that are built uphill to follow the track.
  • Section 1, Row 1 is the front row; the last row is Section 10, Row 122.
  • The views up the main main straightaway are the best from Turn 1 Grandstand

Turn No. 15 Grandstand

  • Turn 15 may be the most popular spot to sit, because it is generally priced lower than the front-stretch, while still providing a broad view of the track.
  • Sections 1-7 is in the corner and each section has rows 1-34
  • Sections 8-25 is on the straight away and each section has rows 1-35.
  • The Grandstands provide a beautiful panoramic view of a large portion of the track, most of Turns 5 through 15.
  • The drivers run through a 180-degree bend and punch the throttle coming out of the corner so their speed doubles in a few seconds to prepare for the climb up to Turn 16.

What is the 2020 U.S. Grand Prix schedule?

The 2020 US Grand Prix schedule is set for 2020, when it races into Austin on Fri, Oct 22 through Sun, Oct 25. The first day is practice and gets the teams ready for the qualifying round to take place on Saturday, while the main race takes place on Sunday. Do you have to purchase a race ticket and concert ticket?

In order to attend the US Grand Prix concerts, you must purchase either 3-day pass, or a Friday or Saturday only pass. A 3-day pass will get you into both concerts. The concerts are general admission, so you should choose a location from which you want to watch the race when purchasing a ticket.

When do the concerts start?

Post racing concerts are tentatively scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. with the general admission area opening at 5:30 p.m. These times are subject to change at the venue's discretion.

Where are the US Grand Prix concerts?

The concerts during USGP weekend take place on the Super Stage in the infield of the race track. This is a general admission setup for fans who have purchased a ticket to the race for that day. The concerts are general admission, but the are often VIP upgrades available to purchase. The upgrades provide access to the premium standing room area, which is closer to the stage.

What is the best way to get to COTA?

Most fans choose to drive and park in one of the premium parking lots closest to COTA. There is also the option to take a shuttle, taxi or an Uber/Lyft. For parking pass holders, please follow the specific driving directions and recommended routes that will be printed on the passes. The track also has six helipads.
