In early March, the Padres begin to play games against other Cactus League competitors. The Cactus League consists of all of the MLB teams that play their spring training games in the State of Arizona. Peoria Stadium has a capacity of over 11,000 and it is usually close to being full, thanks to support from Padres fans and Peoria locals. The large turnout makes for a great environment to watch a baseball game. The Padres share Peoria Stadium (the first spring training venue ever host two teams) with the Seattle Mariners.
