Minnesota Lynx Tickets Information

The Minnesota Lynx were added as an expansion team in the WNBA in 1999 and are owned by Glen Taylor, who is also the majority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. The Lynx suffered through years of poor play before naming Cheryl Reeve head coach in 2010 and drafting All-American Maya Moore out of Connecticut in 2011. In adding Moore to established stars such as Seimone Augustus, Rebekkah Brunson and Lindsay Whalen, Minnesota won its first WNBA Finals appearance, and the first professional championship of any kind since the Minnesota Twins won the 1991 World Series.

Between 2011 and 2017, the Lynx would make the WNBA Finals six of seven years, winning four championships and setting many records along the way. Their 10-0 start to the 2012 season is a league record, and en route to their 2013 league title, they went through the playoffs without losing a game. They also set records for margin of victory (59 points) and longest unanswered scoring run (37 points) in a 2017 win over the Indiana Fever. The four WNBA championships held by Minnesota are tied with the disbanded Houston Comets for most in league history. The Lynx will return to the Target Center in 2018 after renovations during the 2017 season.
