Folsom Field is an outdoor stadium used primarily for football on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder, Colorado. The stadium is the home field of the Colorado Buffaloes football team. Originally known as Colorado Stadium, the facility was renamed to Folsom Field in 1944 after the death of legendary Colorado Coach Fred Folsom, who coached the Buffs between 1895 and 1915. Visitors to "the hilltop" will be awed by this beautiful old stadium, and the backdrop provided by the Flatiron Mountains.
Folsom Field is primarily a football stadium for the University of Colorado, but it has also hosted a variety of other events. Some of the concerts at Folsom Field include The Who, The Eagles, Van Halen, the Grateful Dead, and John Mellencamp, among others. For those who remember the opening sequence of "Mork and Mindy", the south side end zone was used in that shot, as well as being used for the finish line of the 10-kilometer "Bolder Boulder" footrace.
Folsom Field holds almost 54,000 spectators as well as providing a state of the art press box, luxury boxes, and suites, and club seating. Visitors to any event at Folsom Field will be struck by the panoramic views of the CU campus and surrounding mountains. Attend a Colorado game and you'll be amazed at the rabid support for the Buffaloes football program. Buy Folsom Field tickets today and don't miss an event at Folsom Field!
