2017 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl Preview
The 2016 Citrus Bowl will see a battle of two blueblood college football programs who are on the rise when the Florida Gators take on the Michigan Wolverines. Florida rebounded from a few tough seasons to win their first SEC East title since 2009, and will look to use the 2016 Citrus Bowl as a spring board for a full on SEC title next season. Florida has relied on their relentless defense to smother teams, with the Gators ranking in the top 10 in points allowed on the season. Michigan has seen a return to power this season, and will hope to ride the arm of senior Jake Rudock to a huge bowl victory. The Wolverines defensive line was plagued by injury to finish the season, and the battle between the Gators running game and Michigan’s defensive front will likely decide the 2016 Citrus Bowl Champion.
