2017 Celebration Preview
The 2016 Celebration Bowl will be a matchup between the Grambling State Tigers vs. North Carolina Central Eagles in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA on December 17th, 2016. North Carolina Central enter the Celebration Bowl with the MEAC title and a 9-2 season record. The Eagles will be led by quarterback Malcolm Bell, who threw for 2.191 yards and 16 touchdowns throughout the season. The SWAC West Division Champions, Grambling Tigers only experienced one loss in the season against Arizona and if they take the win at the Celebration Bowl this top off their fantastic season.

The Georgia Dome is a stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and is the home stadium of the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. The stadium was completed in 1992 and cost over $120 million. It originally had AstroTurf but has since upgraded to the state-of-the-art FieldTurf that is being widely used in the NFL. There have been many renovations since its opening, including a sound system, big HD screens by each end zone and new seats in the 100 and 300 levels. The Georgia Dome seats approximately 74,228 fans for football games, which is its main purpose. It is still the biggest indoor sporting venue in the United States. There are four levels inside the Georgia Dome; the Lower level (or 100-level), the Club level and Mezzanine level (or 200-level) and the Upper level (or 300-level).
Georgia Dome 100 Level (Lower Level)
Offer the best view of the action on the field. Sections 101-140 are all in the lower level. There are typically 34 to 36 rows in each section of the 100 level. The home team bench is typically in-front of sections 130-140.
Georgia Dome 200 Level (Club & Mezzanine)
The Club and Mezzanine level share the second tier, with the Clubs running goal line to goal line while the Mezzanine seats are in the End zone and corners. Sections 217-226 and 244-251 are the Club seats. Sections 200-216 and 227-243 are the Mezzanine sections. There are 16 rows in most sections on the 200 level, except a few that only have 10 or 11 rows in the middle of the end zone.
Georgia Dome 300 Level (Upper Level)
The highest tier at the Georgia Dome offers some of the best prices for the SEC Championship and a nice view of the action. Sections 301-352 make up the upper level. Where is the best place to park at the Georgia Dome for the Celebration Bowl?
The Georgia Dome is located just west of downtown Atlanta proper. Many fans choose to get to the GA Dome via the Atlanta rail system, MARTA. If you do want drive & park, there are a limited numbers of spots at the Georgia World Congress Center and nearby Philips Arena. Does my child need a ticket to attend?
For most events, children under 33’’ in height may enter without a ticket, but they must sit in a guardian’s lap. Check with the Georgia Dome ahead of time to make sure.
