Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Preview History
2015 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Preview
The 2013 Famous Idaho Potato will be played on Saturday, December 21st at 3:30 PM between the Buffalo Bulls and the San Diego State Aztecs. Buffalo had the toughest non-conference schedule in the country, getting beat handily by Ohio State and Baylor before finally getting a win over Stony Point. Buffalo will look for a big game and maybe a few big-time plays from kick returner Devin Campbell. The Bulls defense is solid and is the main reason behind Buffalo's 8-4 record this season.
San Diego State has a solid defense as well, ranking in the top 25 in most defensive categories in Division 1-A. The Aztecs had to deal with Ohio State in the preseason as well, and didn't do too well against the Buckeyes either. They lost their first three games of the season but rebounded to win seven of the next nine. The Aztecs played in four overtime games the season, so don't be surprised to see a fifth in a very evenly matched Idaho Potato Bowl.

2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Game Preview:
The Ohio University Bobcats are looking for than just a bowl win this year—they’re looking for validation. The 9-4 Bobcats lost the MAC Championship to the Northern Illinois Bobcats after holding a 20-0 lead at halftime, but couldn’t hold on despite a strong offense led by 3,000-yard passer Tyler Tettleton and stout defense. In the 7-5 Utah State, however, they won’t find a pushover happy to be playing during bowl season. The Aggies have rolled off five straight wins, which led them to their first back-to-back bowl berths in school history. There will be a lot to be played for on the blue field of Boise, Idaho’s Bronco Stadium on December 17th. Make sure to get your tickets soon! 2009 Roady's
