2017 Motel 6 Cactus Bowl Preview
The 2016 Motel 6 Cactus Bowl will see one of the highest-powered events in the game’s history as the Baylor Bears take on the Boise State Broncos. The 2016 Cactus Bowl will occur on December 27, 2016, at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ. This will be the 2nd consecutive Cactus Bowl played in Phoenix. Boise State had a successful season ending with 10 wins throughout the regular season, but with their last game ending in a loss and narrowly missing out on the Mountain West championship game they are motivated to end with a win in the Cactus Bowl. Baylor had a strong start to the season with a 6-game winning streak but could not keep it going as they ended with the season with 6 straight losses. The Cactus Bowl has been a high scoring event over the last few years, and the 2016 game looks to be no different.

The Motel 6 Cactus Bowl is played at Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The capacity at Chase Field for football games is over 48,000, with as many as 50,000 people attending the game in some years. Chase Field was built with baseball in mind, and the stand are shaped around a typical baseball diamond. This setup places the vast majority of the seats around the southeast endzone, and south sideline. Temporary bleachers will be erected in what is normally the Diamondbacks outfield, to offer field level seating on the north side of the field.
Sections 1-9 will be housed in temporary bleachers, which will stand in what is typically the outfield at Chase Field. These seats will offer some of the closest views of the action at the 2017 Cactus Bowl, including the only seats behind the PAC-12 participants bench.
Lower level seating will be available in the end zones at sections 115-118 and 139-144, and along the Big-12 participants sideline from 126-135.

Upper level seating will be open for all sections from 3015-332. Sections 300-304 will be roped off, along with the miller lite diamond club, and Arizona baseball club.
