Rose Bowl at the Rose Bowl

Address: 1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, California, 91103

The Rose Bowl Stadium is in Pasadena, not far from all that the city of Los Angeles has to offer. The stadium is one of the last iconic bowl-style venues left in the country and produces great views from every seat. The capacity of the Rose Bowl is approximately 94,392, and that split into two “levels” though one look at the venue and it looks like just one big section all the way from the field to the last row. The home sideline is by sections 3-7, while visitors sideline is in front of sections 17-21.

How can I buy cheap Rose Bowl tickets?

TicketCity offers a large selection of Rose Bowl tickets which includes some of the lowest priced seats on the market. Rose Bowl ticket prices fluctuate based on demand for the games. Bigger matchups typically push demand higher & ticket prices. The opposite can happen if the Rose Bowl matchup is less intriguing. Marquee teams, like the Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, and other teams with large fan bases, can drive up Rose Bowl ticket prices. The Rose Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events in the country, so if you’re looking for cheap tickets you may want to act early before the big push in December.

Seating at the Rose Bowl

There are 28 sections at the Rose Bowl, with each section divided into a lower and upper portion. The rows in the lower section start lettered (in reverse order) and then move from rows 1-25. That means that row A and row 1 are right next to each other. On the ends of the field, row N is typically the 1st row closest to the field. The same holds true on West side of the stadium (Sections 17-19) and East side of the stadium (Sections 3-5). The low rows on the side of the field can often be obstructed by players on the field, in-fact for UCLA home games they tarp off the lowest rows on East Side and start at row B. The upper sections are generally numbered from row 29 to row 77 (49 rows) on the sides of the field, while the upper sections on the ends of the field are generally numbered from row 30 to row 77 (48 rows). Sections 1-8 and 15-22 contain seatbacks. The rows at the Rose Bowl can be a bit confusing, contact us at TicketCity if you need help determining how close to the field your seats are located.

Rose Bowl Event Guide

Where is the best place to stay around the Rose Bowl?

Pasadena is close by, but lacks some of the attractions of other surrounding cities. Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Santa Monica are all within 30 minutes (no traffic) and provide a lot of cool options for lodging, dining and entertainment. Just keep in-mind that the L.A. traffic will likely require 1.5 hours to get to the stadium on gameday, so leave early. Check out our event guide to see more what what’s around when it comes to lodging and stuff to go.

Where is the best place to sit inside the Rose Bowl?

The Rose Bowl is true bowl stadium, which means it’s wide compared to the modern stadiums that are built straight up in the air (e.g.- AT&T Cowboys Stadium in Dallas). The advantage of this wide setup is that fans often say there isn’t a bad view in the house, or at least that the view is consistent as you get higher in rows. The one area to be careful is with the lowest rows on the side of the field, some of your view may get blocked out by the players on the sideline.

What are the best games in Rose Bowl history?

There are so many too choose from when it comes to the Rose Bowl, including three #1 vs. #2 games. Most recently #2 Texas won what some call the greatest college football game of all time when they beat USC 41-38. In 1969, #1 Ohio State beat USC 27-16. Both winning teams were voted national champions.
