2015 Rose Bowl Game Preview:
The 2015 Rose Bowl will take place on January 1st, 2015. The game will be part of the inaugural college football playoff and will feature two of the top four teams in the country. With the release of the final CFP Poll, the 2015 Rose Bowl will be a matchup between the Oregon Ducks and the Florida State Seminoles. The Seminoles enter the game undefeated in the regular season for a 2nd straight season. Oregon will play in the Rose Bowl for the 3rd time since 2010 and finish the season with a 12-1 record. The Pac-12 Champion Ducks are an offensive powerhouse, as is the ACC Champion Seminoles led by former Heisman Trophy winner Jamais Winston. The 2015 Rose Bowl will be one of the most anticipated games of the 2014 college football season.
2014 Rose Bowl Game Preview:
2014 brought with it the 100th anniversary of the Rose Bowl and pit one of the best matchups of the 2013-2014 Capital One Bowl Week. Stanford's second consecutive Rose Bowl appearance would line the Cardinal up with the Michigan State Spartans. The Cardinal would come out hot taking an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter. The Spartans would counter and end the half just 3 points down which they would soon gain at the start of the 3rd quarter to tie the game up at 17. Connor Cook found Tony Lippett on a 25 yard pass for the go ahead touchdown in the beginning of the fourth quarter and the Spartan defense would come up big with a stop to hold the Cardinal to a field goal and eventually seal the game at 24-20. 2013 Rose Bowl Game Preview:
The Granddaddy of Them All, the Rose Bowl is one of four BCS bowl games and perhaps the most storied game in college football history and will host Wisconsin and Stanford in the 2013 New Year’s day game. Wisconsin got off to a rough start in 2012 but they clawed their way back into the Big Ten title game, where they destroyed Nebraska. Stanford beat Oregon to end their title hopes and had to beat the Bruins twice this season to represent the PAC 12 in the Rose Bowl. It’s a stellar running attack against one of the best run defenses in the country – who will break first?
The game is part of the Tournament of Roses Parade and since 1945 is the highest attended bowl game nation-wide. Be a part of history and see one of the most anticipated games of the season to bring in the new year in southern California!
2012 Rose Bowl Game Preview:
If it’s high-octane offenses that you’re looking for, then you need to go no further than this year’s Rose Bowl, as the granddaddy of them all hosts the Pac-12 Champion Oregon Ducks and Big-12-Winning Wisconsin Badgers. This will be the Ducks’ third-straight BCS game, which includes one National Championship Game and two Rose Bowls. Chip Kelly’s lot will be led by juniors quarterback Derron Thomas and running back LaMichael James, who form a formidable duo who like to score frequently and have led Oregon to the top of the polls and offensive ranks since their arrivals in Eugene. Their opposite numbers—senior QB Russell Wilson and junior back Montee Ball—like to score even more than Thomas and James, to the tune of 30+ scores each for the duo in 2012. This Rose Bowl will be one for the ages, and one you won’t want to miss!
2010 Rose Bowl Game Preview:
The 2009 Rose Bowl will matchup two powerhouse football programs in what is sure to be one of the best bowl games. The Big 10 Champion Ohio State Buckeyes will face the Pac 10 Champion, the Oregon Ducks in Pasadena on January 1st. The Buckeyes will be led by Head Coach Jim Tressel and talented quarterback Terrel Pryor. The Ducks return to the Rose Bowl after defeating their Pac 10 rival, the Oregon State Beavers. Oregon Head Coach Chip Kelly brings a high powered offense down to California that is led by running back LaMichael James and quarterback Jeremiah Masoli. The 2009 Rose Bowl will feature two great teams looking to cap off great seasons with a win in Pasadena.
2009 Rose Bowl Game Preview:
This is the “Grandaddy of them All.” In terms of college football games, the Rose Bowl is the oldest, and the grandest.
