Austin has long been known as the "Live Music Capitol of the World" due to our amazing live music scene and hosting ACL Festival. Today Austin is full of many great events, including Texas Longhorns, US Grand Prix and WGC Match Play. On Saturdays in the Fall 100,000 fans show up for each home UT football game, then the USGP has tens of thousands fans for the Sunday F1 race, and ACL sees a few hundred thousand fans pour into to the festival.

Sports in Austin
Austin sports often revolve around the Texas Longhorns, whether its Texas football, Horns basketball, UT baseball or another Longhorn sports team. In recent years the US Grand Prix at COTA, a NASCAR Cup Series race and the WGC Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club have both become hugely popular events. Austin has now become a hot bed for Men's professional soccer with two pro soccer teams: the Austin FC play as part of the MLS at Q2 Stadium and Austin Bold are members of the USL. There are also teams in the area, including the Austin Toros, Round Rock Express and Texas Stars. Austin is also only a few hours from the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros and San Antonio Spurs.
