El Paso offers plenty of live event options. Popular venues for concerts in El Paso include the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center, The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center, and the Abraham Chavez Theatre. El Paso is home to the University of Texas El Paso, commonly known as UTEP. UTEP Miners Football games are played at Sun Bowl Stadium and UTEP Miners Basketball games are held at Don Haskins Center. El Paso is also home to the AAA Affiliate for the San Diego Padres, the El Paso Chihuahuas, who play their games at Southwest University Park.
