Iowa Events

There are plenty of things to do in Iowa for entertainment. Whether you are into sports, concerts, or theatre, Iowa has it all. Des Moines has a great concert scene. Go to a show at Wooly’s for more intimate concerts and Wells Fargo Arena to see some of the nation’s biggest touring acts. If you want to see some of the top touring Broadway musicals in Iowa, you will want to check out the event calendar for the Des Moines Civic Center.

Iowa Sports

While Iowa does not have any major league sports, they do love their college teams. In the fall you can expect Jack Trice Stadium in Ames to be packed for Iowa State Cyclones football games, while in Iowa City you will find Kinnick Stadium paced for Iowa Hawkeyes Football. If you enjoy baseball you can watch an Iowa Cubs game at Principal Park, where you can see the Triple A players for the Chicago Cubs, and occasionally Chicago Cubs players on rehab assignments.
