Miami has some of the best live events so it is no surprise that it is one of the most popular vacation spots in the entire country. Fans flock to Miami for football, tennis, golf and concerts. The weather in South Florida is usually sunny so it makes it an ideal spot for people to see a game or show throughout the calendar year. In the winter fans come down to see their team play the Dolphins, or to attend the Orange Bowl. In the Spring, there are huge crowds in to see the Miami Open and Ultra Music Festival. In the Summer, fans can vacation in Florida and find time to take the whole family to see a Marlins game.

Miami Sports

Sports are a strong draw in this South Florida city, as the Miami Dolphins have one of the most dedicated fan bases in the NFL. The Dolphins aren't the only team that calls Miami home; the Miami Heat have been among the best teams in the NBA since their groundbreaking Finals win in 2006, and the Miami Marlins have won a couple of World Series. The most popular sports team in Miami is The U, or University of Miami, which has been a powerhouse for decades. Not far from central Miami is Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne that hosts the Miami Open in March for the exciting matchups against the top tennis stars.

Miami Concerts

Miami is also home to some of the best nightlife in the country. Because of that all of the top music tours make a stop in Miami to play the American Airlines Arena or another local venue. Miami also plays host to the week-long Winter Music Conference event each year dedicated to electronic music lovers from far and wide. The biggest concert of the year in Miami is Ultra Music Festival which plays each March - and attracts festival fans from far and wide.
