There is certainly no lack of things to do and see in Florida, but one city is on the top of many visitors’ lists. Orlando appeals to just about everyone and is home to numerous attractions including theme parks, concert venues and sports arenas.

The city is perhaps best known for being home to Walt Disney World. Opened more than 45 years ago, individuals can make a vacation out of just visiting this expansive resort as there is plenty of attractions. Disney World features four theme parks, including Animal Kingdom and Epcot, as well as three water parks. Though it might seem like a resort just for children, that could not be further from the truth. There are a plethora of things that appeal to adults as well, including five golf courses, all of which are very highly rated.

While Disney World is likely the most famous attraction in Orlando, it is definitely not the only one. The city is home to the Orlando Magic of the NBA. The team has enjoyed a loyal following since they began playing in the 1989, and despite their short history have seen a number of well-known players come through including Dwight Howard, Penny Hardaway and Superman himself, Shaquille O'Neal.

The Magic play their home games at Amway Center, which is one of the newest venues not only in the NBA, but in the entire country. Opened in 2010, the beautiful 19,000 seat venue also hosts concerts.

Outside of the Magic, the city also plays host to a pair of college football bowl games. The Citrus Bowl is the site of both the Capital One Bowl and the Russell Athletic Bowl. The stadium is among the oldest in the country, having been opened since 1936, and has seen everything from Wrestlemania to the 1994 World Cup played on its surface.

Along with sports and Disney World, Orlando is also home to a thriving theater scene. One of the most well known is the Mad Cow Theater. After humble beginnings in 1997, the venues has grown to be considered the best in the city.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing week at the Disney resort playing a few rounds of golf, taking in a bit of theatrical class or watching some of the NBA's rising stars, this central Florida enclave has something for you.
