The Huskies play their home games at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center, located in Storrs and Hartford, Connecticut respectively. Due to the capacity being larger at the XL Center, the Huskies most important games are played in the 16,000 seat arena. Both arenas are filled to capacity with die hard UConn fans. The UConn Huskies home bench is on the Gample Pavilion court side in front of sections 119-120 and on the XL Center court side in front of sections 114-115. What time do the gates open prior to a Huskies game?
The doors open to the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center 60 minutes prior to tipoff.
Where is the best place to park for a Huskies game?
Games played at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, is available for $8.00 in the North 7 South Parking Garages and several surface parking lots (Employee Lot 8 and Student Lot Y, behind McMahon; Lot 9 and Student Lot X, west of the North Garage). These lots will be posted to indicate the event parking restrictions. Normal campus shuttle will also be available from all peripheral parking areas.
For the XL Center, parking is available surrounding the XL Center and throughout downtown Hartford. There are 45 parking lots and garages in downtown Hartford.
Does my child need a ticket to attend the game?
For games played at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, a child does need a ticket. For UConn games at the XL Center, children two years of age or older require a ticket.
