The DePaul Blue Demons plays their home games at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The 20,000 seat arena was opened in 1980 and is among the largest college basketball arenas in the country. DePaul’s basketball program gained notoriety after head coach Ray Meyer took over the reins in 1942. He would coach the Blue Demons for 42 years winning a national championship in 1945, posting 37 winning seasons, twelve 20 plus win seasons, 21 post-season appearances, and a Final Four appearance in 1979.
