The “Revivalry” as it is commonly known, is one of the oldest rivalries in the country, and TCU Horned Frogs vs. Baylor Bears tickets are some of the most high demand tickets in the Big 12 each season. The Baylor-TCU rivalry dates back to 1899, and has been played over 110 times. While other rivalries are important to both schools, Baylor and TCU remain the biggest rivalry for both programs each season.
What has set the Bears vs. Horned Frogs rivalry apart from many of the other top rivalries in the country, has been the parity between the two teams. The first time that Baylor and TCU met on the field, it ended in a tie, and after over a century of football, the two teams remain deadlocked in the overall series.
Baylor vs. TCU has become increasingly important in the national scene as both teams have risen to the top of the Big 12, including 2014, when the Bears and Horned Frogs shared the Big 12 title. Bears-Horned Frogs tickets often sell out, letting the two Big 12 power’s play in front of a full house at both McLain Stadium, and Amon Carter Stadium. Whether the game is in Fort Worth, or Waco, TicketCity has some of the best seats, including some of the cheapest Baylor vs. TCU tickets on the market.
Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Amon Carter Stadium (Fort Worth, TX) Horned Frogs 28, Bears 21 OTFor the past half decade, the TCU vs Baylor rivalry has been defined by high powered offense, but it was the defenses that shined in Fort Worth in 2015. Baylor jumped out to a hot start, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, but the Horned Frogs defense clamped down, holding the Bears scoreless in the next 3 quarters. The Horned Frogs also struggled moving the ball, failing to score in the 2nd half. But TCU's offense came alive in overtime, scoring two touchdowns to hold off the 7th ranked Bears in double-overtime. The overtime thriller is just the latest great game in the Bears-Horned Frogs rivalry that is turning into one of the best in the Big 12.
Saturday, October 11, 2014 at McLane Stadium (Waco, TX) Bears 61, Horned Frogs 58Baylor welcomed TCU to McLane stadium for the first time in 2014, and the game turned out to be the most exciting game in the Big 12 in 2014. Both Baylor and TCU came into the game with hopes of winning the Big 12 and reaching the first ever college football playoff. While the Horned Frogs have been known for their exceptional defense, the game was destined to be all about the offensive side of the ball. TCU jumped out to a quick lead, and led the Bears 31-27 at halftime. A 49 interception for a touchdown by TCU's Marcus Mallet put the Horned Frogs up 58-37 with only 11 minutes left in the game. But Baylor's Bryce Petty had possibly the best quarter of his college career, connecting for 2 long touchdowns as the Bears erased the 21 point deficit and won the game 61-58 on a field goal as time expired.
Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Amon Carter Stadium (Fort Worth, TX) Bears 41, Horned Frogs 38 In another classic matchup between Baylor and TCU, the Bears relied on an unusually strong defensive effort to get past a resilient TCU team. The Horned Frogs objectively out played the Bears in every aspect of the game, holding the vaunted Baylor offense to only 206 yards passing. But TCU quarterback Casey Pachall threw 3 interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, and proved to be the difference in the game. Baylor improved to 10-1, and the Horned Frogs dropped to 4-8. The win was the first for the Baylor Bears at Amon Carter stadium since 1994.
