Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Gainesville, FL) Seminoles 27, Gators 2Both the Florida State Seminoles and the Florida Gators had hopes of reaching a New Years 6 bowl when they met in Gainsville. The Gators relied on a balance offensive attack all season, and had only a single loss on the season. But the Florida State defense dismantled anything the Gators attempted to put together, keeping Florida out of the end zone, and limiting them to 0 offensive points. On the other side of the ball, the Seminoles ground out the clock behind the running back Dalvin Cook's 183 yards. The 25 point victory is one of the worst defeats the Gators have had at home in the Florida vs. Florida State rivalry.

Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Doak Campbell Stadium (Tallahassee, FL) Seminoles 24, Gators 19 The 58th meeting between the Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators was a matchup of 2 programs in drastically different places. The Gators had just announced the firing of head coach Will Muschamp, while Florida State had not lost a game in 2 seasons. But the Gators did anything but roll over. Florida forced Jameis Winston into 4 interceptions and led the game after the first quarter. But a 94 yard interception return for a touchdown by Florida State’s Terrance Smith put the Noles on the board, and swung the momentum in the Seminoles favor. Winston would recover from his woes to throw 2 late 1st half touchdowns against a tough Florida defense. The Gators would mount a comeback in the 2nd half, pulling within 2 in the 3rd quarter, but would eventually come up short. Florida state’s win was their 2nd in a row in the series, and 23rd overall against Florida.
