The Houston Cougars started playing college football back in 1949 and have played in over 800 games in their storied history. The U of H football team is a force in the American Athletic Conference where they compete against many of the better college football teams in the nation. The Cougars are located in the fertile recruiting grounds of Houston, which means their team is loaded with talented players. The biggest annual games on U of H's schedule include: Cincinnati, Rice, USF Tulane, and UCF. A good year for Houston football would see them run the table in their conference and then play in the AAC Conference Championship Game. A great year for the Cougs would see them win the AAC Title and earn a spot in a Group of Six Bowl Game.

Houston Cougars Home Games at TDECU Stadium

The Houston Cougars play their home games at TDECU Stadium in Houston. The stadium seats 40,000 fans and opens a new era for Cougar football. Built in 2014, the stadium is still one of the newest in college football. TDECU has three levels, the 100-level which are closest to the field, the 200-level is the middle-tier, and the upper-deck which includes Sections 301-335. The best seats for a Houston Cougars home football game are on the lower-level sideline, including Sections 104-114 and 126-132. The cheapest Cougs tickets are likely located in the corners of the 300-level (e.g.- Sections 301-303, 313-315, 323-325 or 333-335). The Houston Cougars home bench is on the TDECU Stadium sideline with sections 102-116.
