On Christmas Eve 2008, Kansas squared off against Minnesota in the Insight Bowl as both teams were trying to finish their season on a high note after an overall disappointing year. The Jayhawks swarmed the Golden Gophers, putting up 28 first half points and running to a 42-21 victory. The bowl game was one of the largest margins of victory for the Jayhawks in any bowl game.
