Since the start of the 1993 season, the Kansas State Wildcats have been a consistent presence during bowl season. The Wildcats have appeared in over 15 bowl games winning more than six times. Kansas State went through a streak of losing five straight bowl games from 2004-2013 which was finally snapped in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in December of 2013. The Wildcats have made multiple appearances in the big bowl games such as the Fiesta Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Kansas State has had a few big bowl wins in their history, including a victory over Tennessee in the 2001 Cotton Bowl. Even though the Wildcats lost the game, they finished the season with 11 wins and in the top 10 in all the major polls. In the 2015 Liberty Bowl, the Kansas State Wildcats played against the Arkansas Razorbacks to a sold-out Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee. For the Wildcats this was their first time playing in the Liberty Bowl. The average ticket price was $125, an increase over the $77 average price of the 2014 Liberty Bowl between Texas A&M Aggies and West Virginia Mountaineers.
