What is the best game day tradition at a Rockets home game?
One of the best and most storied traditions in the MAC is the Toledo Cannon. The cannon are a Civil War era model and one of the oldest cannons of its type still in use. The cannon was first fired at a UT football game in 1953 and moved to its position in the southeast corner of the field in 1995. Every time the Rockets score the cannon is fired off and its “boom” has become a staple of Rockets football games. If you are a Toledo Rockets football fan, hearing the sound of the cannon in person is a must.
