Miss State fans are truly some of the best in the country and provide an intimidating home atmosphere for the Bulldogs at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. Game day at Miss State means over 50,000 fans ringing cowbells and creating a hostile environment for the visiting team. The day before each game the campus plays "Hail State," right at 4pm, which is the signal for Bulldog fans to make a mad dash to claim a tailgate spot in the Junction. There are few college football programs in the country that can match the energy and excitement in the stadium on gameday that MSU generates. It can be electric during big games, and worth every penny to attend in-person.
The Bulldogs have played over 1,100 football games in their history. Mississippi State plays some of the best teams in the country every season as a member of the SEC West. Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and Ole Miss make regular visits to Starkville to take on the Bulldogs. Miss State fans have high expectations for the team in 2023 and are looking for the Bulldogs to be in contention for a spot in the SEC Championship Game. A great season in Starkville would see MSU playing for an SEC Title and earning a bid to a top bowl game.
Egg Bowl Tickets
The game circled on the Miss State schedule each season is the annual Egg Bowl versus Ole Miss, which is MSU's big rivalry game that alternates between a home game and away game at Oxford. The Egg Bowl is played on Thanksgiving Night, so fans from both schools share the morning enjoying Turkey and then head over to the stadium to take on their bitter rival.
