After missing out on a bowl game in 2011, the Bulldogs returned to play SMU in the 2012 Hawaii Bowl. Unfortunately, they were blown out by a score of 43-10. The average ticket price was $51. The following year, Fresno State was a trendy pick to upset the USC Trojans in the Las Vegas Bowl. However, the Bulldogs were defeated once again, this time by the score of 45-20.
