Demand for Pitt football tickets is strong each season. A big home game for the Panthers may cost as much as $100 a ticket to "get in" the stadium. Although fans on a budget can likely find a less popular game on the schedule where seats only start at $50 a ticket. The notable exception here is their rivalry game versus West Virginia which is often a $200+ "get in" ticket depending on the venue.
The Pittsburgh Panthers play in the Atlantic Coast Conference against a schedule full with the toughest teams in college football. The Panthers top games each season are their big rivalry games against Florida State, Miami, Syracuse and Virginia Tech. Pitt also plays many of the best programs on the East Coast like Clemson, Penn State and West Virginia. Their biggest rivalry game is that match-up with the Mountaineers, which is huge in the years it is played.
Panthers fans have been spoiled some great teams over the years going all the way back to the 70's teams that included the likes of Tony Dorsett and Dan Marino. That great history has created high expectations within the fan base. A dream season for Pitt fans would be to earn a spot in the ACC Championship Game where they play their way into a top bowl game. A large following of Pitt fans will be there live and in-person supporting them when they do make it to a big bowl game.
