The Quick Lane Bowl is one of the newest bowl games on the college football bowl calendar. Played at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, the Quick Lane Bowl will be contested in front of up to 70,000 fans. The game will feature tie-ins from the Big 10 and the ACC. Unlike many other bowl games, the Quick Lane Bowl will choose participants in the game based solely on conference representatives and will not be based on final conference standings. This gives the Quick Lane Bowl the ability to choose the most desirable matchups from teams based on geography, styles of play, history, or rivalries. The game will be contested on the traditional date of the former Little Caesars Bowl and will be played on December 26th of every season. 2016 Quick Lane Bowl Preview
The 2016 Quick Lane Bowl will bring the Boston College Eagles to Detroit, Michigan to take on Maryland Terrapins at Ford Field. Boston college enters the Quick Lane Bowl having won 3 of their last 5 games, thanks to the sound defense. On the other side of the field, Maryland finished off their season with a win against Rutgers after a 4-game losing streak. The key for the Terrapins will be to play hard against the Eagles low performing offense. The 2016 Quick Lane Bowl will be a battle of two teams with different philosophies and should be a thriller to watch Maryland vs Boston College.
