The SMU Mustangs Football team plays in the AAC against many of the top programs in college football. Recent success has brought pride back into the program and created demand for tickets for SMU games. Most SMU games are relatively affordable with a "get in" ticket price starting under $40 per seat. When attending games at Gerald J. Ford Stadium fans should remember to wear red and be prepared to sing the “Pony Battle Cry” early and often. SMU first fielded a football team in 1915 and has won over 500 games.
SMU vs TCU Tickets
The biggest college football rivalry in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex pits these two athletic powerhouses against each other. TCU and SMU first met in 1915 and have played in all but a handful of years since then. The winner of the game has been awarded the Iron Skillet Trophy since 1946, after a TCU fan confronted and made a wager with a SMU fan after seeing him grill frog legs in a skillet. These schools compete for players, students, fans, and much Texas football pride.
SMU vs Rice Games
Two of the most accomplished football programs from private universities, SMU-Rice is one of the better rivalries in the State of Texas. The matchup dates back to 1916 and reached its height when both schools were members of the Southwest Conference. The winner is awarded the Mayor's Cup and Texas bragging rights.
