One of the few domed stadiums in college football, the Kibbie Dome is truly a unique place to watch a football game. The stadium is the only primarily wooden domed stadium in the country and its architecture earned the American Society of Civil Engineers award for engineering achievement. Known as the Battle of the Palouse, the Vandals and Cougars have been meeting on the gridiron since 1894, and have played each other over 85 times. The two universities are located only about 10 miles apart sparking the unique tradition known as the “Loser’s Walk.” In the week after the Battle of the Palouse, students from the losing school walk to the campus of the winning school.
