Stanford vs UCLA Football Tickets

The football rivalry between the UCLA Bruins and Stanford Cardinal goes back a century to their first match-up in 1925, a dominate 82-0 win by Stanford. That first game remains to this day the largest margin of victory in this annual college football game. This game is an important one for the Pac 12 as both UCLA and Stanford are in the hunt for a spot in the Conference Championship Game. The winner puts themselves one step closer to playing for a conference title and maybe a coveted spot in the Rose Bowl game. The game alternates each year between being played at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena and Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto.

Games of the 1994 FIFA World Cup were also contested at the Rose Bowl, as well as five Super Bowls.

The Los Angeles Galaxy played their home games at Rose Bowl Stadium from 1996-2003 and the Rose Bowl has been home to UCLA Bruins Football since 1982. The stadium is credited with spawning the term "bowl game" in college football, as the Rose Bowl was the first major "bowl game" in college football history.

Rose Bowl Stadium Seating Guide

Field Level

There are 28 sections at the Rose Bowl, with each section divided into a lower and upper portion. The rows in the lower section start lettered (in reverse order) and then move from rows 1-25. That means that row A and row 1 are right next to each other. On the ends of the field, row N is typically the 1st row closest to the field. The same holds true on the West side of the stadium (Sections 17-19) and East side of the stadium (Sections 3-5). The low rows on the side of the field can often be obstructed by players on the field, in-fact for UCLA home games they tarp off the lowest rows on the East Side and start at row B. The upper sections are generally numbered from row 29 to row 77 (49 rows) on the sides of the field, while the upper sections on the ends of the field are generally numbered from row 30 to row 77 (48 rows). Sections 1-8 and 15-22 contain seatbacks. The rows at the Rose Bowl can be a bit confusing, contact us at TicketCity if you need help determining how close to the field your seats are located.

General Admission

The two sections behind each end zone (11, 12, 25, 26) are general admission for all UCLA football games. These are on the same levels as all the other sections in a bowl stadium, except there are no assigned seats. This is generally the cheapest ticket in the stadium.

Club Seats

Along with your ticket in the club sections, your seats are extra wide, cushioned and they come with cup holders. You will also have about 50% more legroom. Includes food and non-alcoholic beverages and the option to purchase alcohol. Access to a club lounge, as well as a private entrance and private restrooms.

Suites

Suites at the Rose Bowl give you the most relaxed game experience you could ask for. The suits come with 16-to-30 tickets, an air-conditioned room with a buffet counter, wet bar, wi-fi, and a flat-screen TV.

Rose Bowl Stadium FAQs

What is the best way to get to the Rose Bowl?

The Metro operates a light rail service to the Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. Two blocks away there is a Rose Bowl Shuttle pick-up location at Parsons. There is parking available as well, but it comes at a premium.

Does my child need a ticket?

Children 2 years of age or younger are admitted free to UCLA games with a lap pass that can be obtained at any entrance gate on game days.

Where is the best place to sit inside the Rose Bowl?

The Rose Bowl is a true bowl stadium, which means it's wide compared to the modern stadiums that are built straight up in the air (e.g.- AT&T Cowboys Stadium in Dallas). The advantage of this wide setup is that fans often say there isn't a bad view in the house, or at least that the view is consistent as you get higher in rows. The one area to be careful is with the lowest rows on the side of the field, some of your views may get blocked out by the players on the sideline.
