Comic-Con Tickets Information

What began in 1970 with about 145 people in attendance at the US Grant Hotel in San Diego has blossomed into an international phenomenon with over one-hundred-fifty thousand people filling the San Diego Convention Center and venues across the city. While the San Diego Comic-Con's age and popularity makes it the "default" Comic-Con, cities around the world now put on similar comic conventions, most using some version of the name Comic-Con.

The SDCC, like most of the Comic-Cons in other cities, features far more than just comics. The event is a major media powerhouse, used by entertainment companies to preview the biggest blockbusters in film and television. Stars attend for Q&A panels along with directors and show-runners. It's more than just sci-fi and fantasy, crossing all genres and media, including games physical and electronic, anime, and more. The SDCC holds a number of world records for its sheer size.

While other Comic-Cons aren't quite the monster that exists in San Diego, they afford similar opportunities for fans to interact with their favorites on panel discussions and get previews of the hottest new media.
