5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is a pop/punk band from Sydney Australia. The group formed in 2011 with founding members Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Aston Irwin. 5SOS’s first release titled “Unplugged” was an instant success in Australia and helped the band make the connection that would burst them into stardom. The real break for 5 Seconds of Summer came when their song “Gotta Get Out” garnered attention from One Direction. This interest set the stage for the two bands to team up on the 2013 Take Me Home Tour which put 5SOS on the international music scene.5 Seconds of Summer has quickly risen from internet wunderkinds, to pop sensations and have created a name for themselves as one of the can’t miss live shows every year.
