Despite forming in England in 1994, it took nearly a decade for the band Muse to find success on the other side of the pond, but once they did, the group became one of the most celebrated rock bands of the past several decades. Fusing together a mixture of prog rock, alternative, electronica and stunning stage visuals, Muse's live shows are among the best in the business. Featuring Matthew Bellamy on guitar, Christopher Wolstenholme on bass and Dominic Howard on drums, Muse gets the most out of their three piece alignment and have steadily refined their sound over the years.

After forming in Devon, England, in the mid-'90s, Muse gradually built up a following in the U.K. and released a series of EPs in the hopes of landing a recording contract. After signing with Maverick Records in 1998, Muse would release its first album in the United States, Showbiz, which featured the singles, "Sunburn" and "Muscle Museum." While the record didn't chart well in America, their follow-up album, Origin of Symmetry, did manage to peak at No. 161 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In 2004, Muse's profile began to grow stateside when they played at the Coachella Music Festival, which coincided with the release of their album, Absolution. The record would reach No. 101 on the Billboard 200 and the single "Stockholm Syndrome" would become a fan favorite. In 2006, the band would release Black Holes and Revelations, which would hit No. 1 in the U.K. and would hit No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.

After releasing a successful live album, H.A.A.R.P. Live At Wembley, Muse came back in 2009 with arguably their biggest record yet, The Resistance. The album was a No.1 hit in the U.K. once again and saw the band's biggest jump on the American pop charts with the single, "Uprising," which hit No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100. Finally, in 2012, Muse rode its wave of success to its sixth album release, The 2nd Law. Peaking at No. 2 on the American charts, Muse has unexpectedly rose to the top of the rock world and continues to reinvent themselves time and again to woo new audiences. With the band's energetic live spectaculars, thunderous guitar riffs and powerful lyrics, Muse should be a major force on the rock scene for many years to come.
