Big Gigantic is an electronic/jazz duo out of Boulder, Colorado. They are known for their exciting live shows that combine electronic and live beats, live instruments, including saxophone and keys, and a variety of genres. With an active touring schedule that includes performances at festivals and colleges across the country, Big Gigantic also formed Rowdytown in 2012 at the famous Red Rocks theatre in Colorado. After Dominic Lalli graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Masters in Jazz he moved to Boulder, Colorado. In Boulder, Lalli quickly linked up with Jeremy Salken, and the duo started experimenting by combining electronic beats with conventional instruments, in particular saxophone and drums. The group started to grow in popularity in 2008, performing locally and nationally. They released their first album, Fire it Up in 2009. Dominic Lalli handles production and plays saxophone, Jeremy Salken plays drums.

From 2009 to 2012 Big Gigantic released three albums: Fire it Up, A Place Behind the Moon, and Nocturnal. Each album had original tracks that featured the duo’s combination of electronic beats and saxophone and drum. In 2014, Big Gigantic released their fourth album, The Night is Young. February 2015 brought the release of the single “Get on Up,” a song that included many funk beats. Big Gigantic’s live performances not only feature their unique take on electronic music, they also include their original works as well as remixes of many popular songs. Not only is Big Gigantic touring and recording on a regular basis, they are also involved with charity work. They push their fans, called Lil Gs, to be active in the community and encourage them to make a difference, no matter how big or small. One Lil G event occurred at the Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, Colorado to restore the parks many bike trails. Big Gigantic is also involved with Electric Family. Electric Family creates bracelets and other merchandise with the intention of donating profits to various charities.
