Blue Rodeo is a country rock bank from Canada that was formed in 1984. Blue Rodeo’s debut album, Outskirts, was released in 1987 with Warner Music Group, with whom they have released all of their albums. Blue Rodeo is made up of Jim Cuddy of guitar and vocals, Greg Keelor on guitar and vocals, Colin Cripps on guitar, Bazil Donovan on bass guitar, Glenn Milchem on drums, Michael Boguski on keyboard and the multi-instrumentalist and former Wilco member, Bob Egan. Blue Rodeo won a variety of Canadian music awards including seven Juno Awards and seven SOCAN Awards as well as a star on the Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2009. Blue Rodeo was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the Juno Awards in 2012.
In 2014, Blue Rodeo received Canada’s highest honor for musicians, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards for a Lifetime Artistic Achievement. Blue Rodeo released 14 studio albums between 1987 and 2014 including their 1987 debut album Outskirts, 1989’s Diamond Mine, 1990’s Casino, 1992’s Lost Together, 1993’s Five Days in July, 1995’s Nowhere to Here, 1997’s Tremolo, 2000’s The Days in Between, 2002’s Palace of Gold, 2005’s Are You Ready, 2007’s Small Miracles, 2009’s The Things We Left Behind, 2013’s In Our Nature and 2014’s A Merrie Christmas to You.
Blue Rodeo released 4 live albums including their 1999 live album Just Like a Vacation, 2006’s Blue Rodeo Live in Stratford, 2008’s Blue Road and their 2015 released live album Live At Massey Hall. In 2016, Blue Rodeo toured around Canada to perform a select number of shows, including Cowboy Calgary in Calgary, Canada.
