Brantley Gilbert is a country rock musician originally from Jefferson, Georgia. Brantley Gilbert moved to Nashville, Tennessee as a songwriter when he signed to Warner Chappell Publishing. He would often perform at the local venues around town before releasing his debut solo album, Modern Day Prodigal Son, in 2009 with Average Joe Entertainment. In 2010, Brantley Gilbert released his second country album, Halfway to Heaven. When Brantley Gilbert signed to Valory Music Co. in 2011, he re-released Halfway To Heaven along with several bonus tracks. Brantley Gilbert toured with Willie Nelson on the Country Throwdown Tour in 2011 in support of the album’s release. In 2012, Brantley Gilbert toured on Eric Church’s Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour as well as with Toby Keith on his Live in Overdrive Tour. Two of Brantley Gilbert’s hit single from that album, “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” both reached the number one position on the Hot Country Songs chart. Brantley Gilbert won the Academy of Country Music Award for New Male Artist in 2013.
Brantley Gilbert performed on Tim McGraw’s Two Lanes of Freedom Tour in 2013. Brantley Gilbert’s second album to be released with Valory Music Co. was titled Just as I Am, which was released in 2014. This album included many of his number one hit singles, such as “Bottoms Up”, “Stone Cold Sober”, “One Hell of an Amen”, and “Small Town Throwdown”, which includes guest vocals by Thomas Rhett and Justin Moore. Brantley Gilbert’s 2014 album, Just as I Am soon became a platinum selling record.
