Carrie Underwood is an American country music artist from Oklahoma. Her career took off after winning the fourth season of American Idol, with seven Grammy Awards, multiple number one hits, numerous awards and five albums. Her work also includes the time she has spent as a host of Sunday Night Football and on November 4, 2015 she returned as co-host of the CMA Awards.In 2005, Underwood won the fourth season of American Idol. This gave her singing career the jump start that it needed, and resulted in the release of her first single, “Inside Your Heaven,” on June 14, 2005, and her first album Some Hearts on November 15, 2005. “Inside Your Heart” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 as the first country music artist to debut at number one. The album became the best-selling album in 2006, and has been certified seven times Platinum. The success of this album has cemented her as the most successful artist in American Idol history.
Underwood’s singles and albums have garnered her success not only as a country artist, but as a pop artist as well, with multiple hits reaching the top of the Billboard 100. Her single “Smoke Break” was announced live on August 20, 2015 on Facebook, along with the announcement for the release of her fifth studio album Storyteller on October 23, 2015.

Carrie Underwood’s success has led to multiple tours, including her Blown Away tour. The Blown Away Tour followed the May 1, 2012 release of the album Blown Away, Underwood’s fourth studio album. Blown Away featured singles “Good Girl”, “Blown Away”, “Two Black Cadillacs”, and “See You Again”, and debuted at number one on the Billboard top 200. The Blown Away Tour consisted of both North American and international dates. The first leg started on June 21, 2012, and the second leg started February 2013. Shows on the tour set records, some of them selling out in a few hours. The tour finished in May 2013, and was followed by the August 13, 2013 DVD release The Blown Away Tour: Live, which featured performance footage, behind-the-scenes, interviews, and music videos.
