The Band Perry is an American country group that consists of brother and sisters Kimberly Perry on guitar, piano and singing lead vocals, Reid Perry on bass guitar and singing background vocals, Neil Perry playing mandolin, drums, accordion and singing background vocals. Kimberly Perry sang in a band as a teenager while her brother, who were 8 and 10 at the time, acted as her roadies as well as performed as her opening act. In 2005, The Band Perry joined the New Faces of Country Tour.
In 2008, The Band Perry was discovered by Garth Brooks’ manager, who introduced them to Republic Nashville. After singing to Republic Nashville in 2009, The Band Perry released their debut self-titled album a year later. The Band Perry’s lead single from their self-titled album was “If I Die Young”, which went certified quadruple platinum and reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs as well as the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts. With the help of producer Rick Ruben and Dana Huff, The Band Perry recorded and released their second album, Pioneer, in 2013. The lead single from Pioneer was “Better Dig Two”, followed by their single “Done”, which reached the number one position on the Country Airplay chart. The album’s third single “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” peaked on the number two position on the country charts.
In 2015, The Band Perry released a single titled “Live Forever”, which would be featured on their third album released in 2016, Heart + Beat.
