Foreigner is a British hard rock band that formed in New York City in 1976. Foreigner is perhaps best known for their hit song “I Want to Know What Love Is”. They have sold more than 80 million records worldwide, 37.5 million of which are in the US alone, making Foreigner one of the bestselling bands of all time. Although the band has had major changes in their line-up over the years, that hasn’t deterred fans one bit.

Foreigner recorded their debut self-titled album at Atlantic Recording Studios in 1977, which went on to sell more than 4 million copies in the US and stayed in the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart for nearly a year. Foreigner included hits such as “Feels Like the First Time”, “Cold as Ice” and “Long, Long Way From Home”. Foreigner’s second album, Double Vision, was released in 1978 and featured some of the bands most popular songs, “Hot Blooded”, Double Vision” and “Blue Morning, Blue Day”. 1979 saw the release of Foreigner’s third album, Head Games, which included the songs “Head Games” and “Dirty White Boy”.

Foreigner toured extensively in support of their last albums and performed in cities all around the world as they gained a wider fan following. Foreigner’s fourth album was simply titled 4 and released in 1981. After that came Agent Provocateur in 1984, which gave Foreigner their first number one hit song, “I Want to Know What Love Is”. The album also included Foreigner’s major hit song, “That Was Yesterday”. The band’s 1987 hit album was titled Insider Information, which they followed up with Unusual Heat in 1991 and featuring their popular song “Until the End of Time”. In 1994, Foreigner released Mr. Moonlight, then after more changes to their line-up, the band came out with their hit album Can’t Slow Down in 2009 and followed the release of their album up with a large tour. Foreigner will be celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band with a North American summer tour. The Foreigner 40th Anniversary Tour will feature Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience as support. The summer tour kicks off in Syracuse in July and hits cities such as Camden, Boston, Virginia Beach, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Cincinnati, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Austin, Phoenix, and Los Angeles before coming to an end in Auburn, WA in September!

In 2016, Foreigner played a number of shows all around the US at arenas, fairs and casinos.
