Guns N Roses is the legendary rock band from Los Angeles. The classic Guns N Roses lineup was formed in 1985 and included vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler. Since their inception in 1985, Guns N Roses has sold more than 100 million records around the world, 45 million of which were in the United States alone, making Guns N Roses one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time.
Guns N Roses debut album, Appetite for Destruvtion, was released in 1987 and quickly climbed to the number one position on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart less than a year after its release with their song, “Sweet Child of Mine” being the only single to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. The album itself sold over 30 million copies around the world and is the best-selling debut album of all time and the eleventh best-selling album in the United States. In 1988, Guns N Roses released their follow up to Appetite for Destruction titled G N R Lies, which climbed to the number two position on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Guns N Roses’ 1999 double album, Use Your Illusion I & II, also peaked at the number two position on the Billboard album charts, selling over 35 million copies worldwide.
Over the years, Guns N Roses has gone through many lineup changes, but are still one of the most popular and recognized bands around the world. Years later, Guns N Roses came out with Chinese Democracy in 2008, which was the most expensive album to produce of all time, weighing in at $14 million in production fees. Guns N Roses saw a surge in popularity again in 2016 when they headlined Coachella Arts and Music Festival in Indio California, performing with most of their original lineup. Shortly after performing at Coachella in 2016, the band announced that they would do another tour in 21 cities across America. Tickets to the Guns N Roses 2016 reunion tour have been notoriously difficult to get ahold of. Score with TicketCity – the place to go for Guns N Roses Tickets.
