Hank Williams Jr is an American singer and songwriter who often produces southern rock, blues, as well as traditional country music. Son of legendary country singer, Hank Williams, Hank Williams Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps by evolving his own personal style of country music singing which he initially developed from his father. Hank Williams Jr is a talented multi-instrumentalist whose repertoire includes guitar, bass guitar, upright bass, steel guitar, banjo, dobro, piano, keyboard, harmonica, fiddle, drums, and virtually every other string instrument around. Hank Williams Jr.’s earliest album was first released in 1964, titled Your Cheatin’ Heart. In 2012, Hank William Jr released Old School New Rule, one of his most acclaimed albums. He has produced over fifty studio albums and fourteen compilation albums between 1964 and 2012. Perhaps most notably, Hank Williams Jr.’s song, “All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight” was the anthem for Monday Night Football from 1989 to 2011. Hank Williams Jr. himself is a dedicated Steelers fan and opened the 2006 Super Bowl XL. He is perhaps best known for his hit singles, “There’s a Tear in my Beer”, “Born to Boogie”, “All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight”, all of which he won awards for.

Hank Williams Jr. won many awards for his music in his life time and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007, won multiple Emmys as well as Grammy awards, was awarded the Entertainer of the Year award by the Academy of Country Music in 1988, multiple nominations for Male Vocalist of the year by the Academy of Country Music and was awarded the Johnny Cash Visionary award in 2006.
