Hunter Hayes, the country music singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is an influential artist in the Nashville music scene. Most notably, Hunter Hayes can play over 30 instruments. Hunter Hayes’ debut self-titled album was released in 2011 and reached the number 7 position on the Billboard Top 200 albums charts and number one on the Top Country Albums. His debut album sold over 1.1 million copies while the lead single from the album, “Wanted”, sold over 3.5 million copies; a successful feat for any new artist. Hunter Hayes’ second studio album, Storyline, was released in 2014 and featured his hit single, “Invisible”. Because of his immediate commercial success as well as his talent as both a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Billboard is hailed Hunter Hayes as the Leader of Country Music’s Youth Revolution.

Even in the relatively short span of his music career, Hunter Hayes was nominated for four Grammy Awards by 2015, including Best New Artist, and won the Country Music Association Award for New Artist of the Year in 2012. Hunter Hayes moved to Nashville, Tennessee and signed with Universal Records in 2008. In 2010, Hunter Hayes helped co-write the song “Play” on the Rascal Flats album, Nothing Like This, which led to his own record deal and rise to fame. Hunter Hayes began touring with Taylor Swift in 2011 on her Speak Now World Tour, opening the concert on ten of her tour dates. Hunter Hayes launched his first U.S. tour later in 2011, called the Most Wanted Tour. In 2012, Hunter Hayes opened for Rascal Flats on their Thaw Out Tour.

Hunter Hayes helped break a Guinness World Record along with the Flaming Lips by performing the most concerts in multiple cities in a 24-hour period. Hunter Hayes is the youngest member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame when he was inducted in 2012.
