Jack White is an American multi-instrumentalist, record producer, singer and songwriter known for his involvement in many different bands, as well as his own solo music career. Jack White was the vocalist and guitarist in The White Stripes along with his ex-wife, Meg White. The White Stripes 2001 album, White Blood Cells, won the band international fame for their songs “Fell in Love With a Girl” and “Seven Nation Army”. Jack White’s first band was called Goober & The Peas, where he played drums at the age of 19. With The White Stripes, Jack White released their second album, Elephant, which reached Billboard’s number one position for three weeks straight. Their single, “Seven Nation Army”, won a Grammy Award in 2004 for Best Rock Song. The band’s fifth album, Get Behind Me Satan, marked a notable change in the band’s musical direction, from the garage rock anthems they performed to piano melody focused songs. Icky Thump, the band’s sixth studio album, was a return to The White Stripes’ blues and garage influences of their previous albums and debuted at the number two spot on the album charts. In 2005, Jack White started recording with Brendan Benson under the name The Raconteurs. The band’s breakout single, “Steady As She Goes” rapidly gained popularity and notoriety for the band. Their debut album, Broken Boy Soldier, quickly reached the top ten album chart in the US and UK and was nominated for Best Rock Album in 2006. The Raconteurs’ second album Consolers of the Lonely and the single “Salute You Solution” were released in 2008. In 2009, Jack White and Allison Mosshart formed The Dead Weather. Their debut album, Horehound, was released in 2009 and featured the single “Die by the Drop”. As a solo artist, Jack White has produced many hit songs, including those featured on his debut solo album, Blunderbuss.
