Jamey Johnson is an American country music artist, singer and songwriter. Born in 1975, Jamey Johnson was around country music influencers his entire life. It wasn’t until 2005 that Jamey Johnson signed with BNA Records and released his debut album The Dollar in 2006. Then,in 2007, Jamey Johnson co-wrote two songs with TraceAdkins that charted on the Billboard Top 100 – “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “I Got My Game On”. With the popularity of the singles Jamey Johnson co-wrote with Trace Adkins, he left BNA Records and signed to Mercury Records in 2008 to release his second album, The Lonesome Song. Jamey Johnson’s second album went certified gold and featured the two Billboard Top 10 hit singles, “In Color” and “High Cost of Living”. With the commercial success of his second album, Jamey Johnson was nominated for the 2009 CMA Awards New Artist of the Year, and nominated for the 2010 Academy of Country Music Top New Solo Vocalist.

Jamey Johnson’s third studio album was released in 2010, titled The Guitar Song, which was widely received as successful by music critics, debuting at the number four position on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and number one on the country music charts, selling 63,000 copies in the first week. One of the hit songs from The Guitar Song was “Playing the Part”, the music video for which because a viral sensation. Following the album’s release, Jamey Johnson joined Kid Rock on his 2011 Born Free Tour as well as Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown later that same year. Jamey Johnson’s fourth studio album was titled Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran, and album which features covers of songs written by the late country music artist, Hank Cochran. In 2014, Jamey Johnson founded his own record label, Big Gassed Records. His first release on his own record label was a holiday themed EP titled The Christmas Song.
