The America actor, singer, record producer, and songwriter, Joshua Groban, was born on the 21st of February in the year 1981. He has emerged as a rising force in the music world. The first four of the solo albums that he released have received platinum certification. Apart from this, he was placed as number one in the charts. As a result he was realized as the best selling artist currently in the US. He achieved this in the year 2007. At that time he had more than 22.3 million records sold. Apart from this, he has managed to successfully sell more than 25 million records globally. Originally Groban had aspired to become an actor for which he studied acting. However, he opted for singing as his voice developed over time. He went to the Los Angeles County High School for Arts. He later attended California State University. The teaching style followed there is more conservative.

Josh Groban received vocal training under the supervision of Seth Riggs. Groban got his big break when Riggs presented David Foster with a tape which featured Groban singing “All I Ask of You”. This song was from “The Phantom of the Opera”. When Foster heard the tape he called for Groban to rehearse for a duet called “The Prayer”. The rehearsal was performed alongside Celine Dion and it was performed at the 1998 Grammy Awards. This performance inspired Rosie O’Donnell to such an extent that she immediately moved to invite him over to the talk show that she hosted at the time. After this he was asked by Foster to sing at the 1999 inauguration ceremony of Gray Davis, the Governor of California. This performance worked wonders for him as he was asked by David E. Kelly to perform “You’re Still You” at the season finale of Ally McBeal in 2001. Kelly was the creator of the show which is why Kelly was able to cast him on the show. Groban has gradually risen in fame since then and has moved to become the star of hearts of many fans. He has received much acclaim for his work and that is clearly visible from the response he is able to generate from his fans in terms of his record sales and the response of fans at his performances.
