Lauryn Hill Tickets & Concerts
Lauryn Hill has been a star in the music industry ever since she was a member of The Fugees in the early '90s, but she really came into her own when she embarked on one of the most ambitious solo careers in recent memories. With a sound all her own and a penchant for thoughtful lyrics, Hill remains an icon within the R&B world. Hill first rose to prominence with The Fugees when her iconic voice was the highlight of many of their hit songs.
After enjoying the rise to fame alongside The Fugees, Hill got to work on what would become her debut album. Thanks to contributions by everyone from Carlos Santana to Mary J. Blige, the final product was her 1998 debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill - one of the best albums of the decade. The record contained a number of popular songs including "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and "Everything is Everything." The record went on to win the Grammy for Album of the Year along with four others and sat atop the Billboard 200 charts for four straight weeks.
Despite the immense success of her debut, fans would see little of Hill over the next several years as she disappeared from the public eye. Throughout much of the following decade, Hill worked on various other projects, but it was apparent that music was very-much her biggest passion, as she continued to perform including a surprise reunion with The Fugees in 2004 and again in 2021. More recently, some new music by Lauryn Hill has been making appearances including the song "Repercussion," which leaked on the internet in 2010, and began playing on the radio soon after. While she may have disappeared from the public eye for a while, there's no denying the impact that Lauryn Hill has had on the music world. With an instantly recognizable voice and a message of love and peace, she is certainly here to stay.
