Lord Huron is an American Indie Band from Los Angeles. Lord Huron is the brainchild of front man Ben Schneider, who moved to Los Angeles in late 2010, after growing up in Michigan, and spending time in New York and France. Schneider added members Mark Barry, Miguel Briseno, and Tom Renaud to form Lord Huron, not long after moving to Los Angeles. The band draws its name from Lake Huron, around which Schneider spent much of his childhood. After releasing a number of EP’s, Lord Huron released their first full length studio album in 2012, titled Lonesome Dreams. Lonesome Dreams opened to positive reviews, and many of the songs titles, themes, and sounds were inspired by the time Ben Schneider spent in the woods around Lake Huron as a child. Much of the album focuses on the theme of old adventure tales, and has a distinct western feel to the sound. The success of Lonesome Dreams helped Lord Huron start a multi-year long tour throughout North America, and Europe. Lord Huron went from relative unknown, to a world touring band in just a few years, and have been noted on many of the quickly rising bands lists. In 2015, Lord Huron announced the release of their 2nd full length album titled Strange Trails, which includes 14 songs, and singles suck as “Love Like Ghosts,” and “The Night We Met.”
Lord Huron Strange Trails Tour
After touring for multiple years in support of their debut album, Lord Huron added a 2nd full length album to their discography, and announced a full length tour to support the new album. The Strange Trails Tour kicked off in early 2015 and would be the biggest tour to date for Lord Huron. The Strange Trails tour included a full list of large festivals for the first time for Lord Huron. The tour would take Lord Huron to Austin City Limits Music Festival, Toronto Urban Roots Festival, Landmark Music Festival, as well as dozens of venues across the North America.
