Mexican flavor of pop rock has been brought about by the Mexican pop rock band Mana which originated from Guadalajara, Jalisco. The present line up of the band consists of Fher Olvera as the guitarist and the vocalist, followed by Alex Gonzalez as the drummer, Sergo Vallin is the guitarist and Juan Calleros is the bassist. Up till now, Mana has succeeded in making a strong name for them as they have four Grammy Awards, along with seven Latin Grammy awards, six Premios Juventud awards, and fifteen Premios Lo Nuestro awards. In addition, the band has also won five MTV Latin America Video Music Awards. It can be safely said that the band has done fairly well in making a strong name in the industry. When it comes to Latin America, Mana has risen to the top of the all time favorite list. This can be seen from the standards they have set in terms of record sales and by the attendance at their concerts. The first album was released in 1990, which was four years after the band was formed. The first album was titled “Falta Amor”. Two years later in 1992, the group released its second album titled as “¿Dónde Jugarán Los Niños?” This album was able to sell as many as 8 million copies globally and this made it the best selling rock album in the Spanish language. In 1995, the third album was released and this was the first time there was some changes in the lineup of the band. This album was considerably different from the previous work that the band released. Later on in 1997, Mana released its next album tilted as “Sueños Líquidos”. This album was followed by “Revolución de Amor” that came out in 2002. Later, Mana released its next album which was titled “Amar es Combatir”, in the year 2007. There was one thing common for all of these albums and that was the success that these albums brought to the band.
The next album from Mana came out in April 2011 and this time the title was “Drama y Luz”. The most recent album of Mana was released in the start of 2015 and this was titled “Cama Incendiada”. The band Mana has enjoyed great success with its music and has successfully gathered a large fan following for its work. This is perhaps the biggest reason why none of the band’s performances seem to disappoint the crowd. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Mana tickets!
