Muse is an English rock band who has been performing since 1994. Muse consists of singer and keyboardist Matt Bellamy, bass guitarist Christopher Wolstenholme, and drummer Dominic Howard, although all three are talented multi-instrumentalists. From 1995 to 2015, Muse has sold over 17 million albums and single worldwide. Unbeknownst to most Muse fans, Bellamy and Howard originally had a band names Gothic Plague, which they later changed to Fixed Penalty, and later Rocket Baby Dolls. The original band used a gothic and glam image while performing at shows through England. After winning a battle of the bands, the band finally changed their name to Muse. Their first album was titled Showbiz, released in 1998. Their album, Origin of Symmetry, was released in 2001. Hullabaloo was released shortly after along with a B-sides CD which featured new songs like “In Your World” and “Dead Star”. Absolution is arguably their most popular release and featured hit songs such as “Time is Running Out”, “Hysteria”, “Sing for Absolution”, and “Butterflies and Hurricanes”, in addition to many other hits. Muse toured extensively around the world following the release of Absolution. Muse’s 2006 release was Black Holes and Revelations, which charted in the number one position and featured one of their hit singles, “Supermassive Black Holes”. After a bit more touring and headlining festivals around the world, Muse released the album, The Resistance in 2009, their fifth studio album. In 2013, Muse embarked upon the 2nd Law World Tour, and released their album, Drones, in 2014. Muse live performances are best known for their high energy and inspiring songs with catchy melodies. Matt Bellamy’s powerful singing voice and the band’s energetic stage presence stands out most during a Muse concert. Don’t miss out on your next chance to see Muse live in concert at the next Muse show near you. Score with TicketCity – the place to go for Muse Tickets.
